As the premiere of CNBC Prime's new competition series "Crowd Rules" approaches, hosts Kendra Scott of Kendra Scott Jewelry and Pat Kiernan of NY1 are making the press circuits.
DailyNews had the chance to speak with Kiernan where he shared the fact he had to cut his family vacation short to make the show's taping. It's no major sacrifice according to him, as he states, "This show is a perfect gig for me...It’s a chance for me to flex different muscles and have some fun.” Kiernan has broadcast business news before, reporting for CNN before working with NY1.
Kiernan is a small business owner himself, running a small production company that publishes his website and produces live trivia events for corporate and ticketed audience.
Both Kiernan and Jim Ackerman, CNBC's SVP of Primetime Alternative Programming, are already hopeful for a second season. Kiernan even joked "...20 seconds after we finished filming, the studio technicians were talking to us about who won. They do a hundred shows a year, and they were actually paying attention.”
